• About Mrs. Baker - FHS Studio Art Teacher:  Jane Baker has been teaching Visual Arts at Falmouth High School for the past fourteen years.  She lives locally with her husband and two young children.  Mrs. Baker was raised in Falmouth and graduated from FHS in 1987.  She received her BS in Studio Art from Smith College in 1991 and her MSAE in Art Education and Printmaking from Massachusetts College of Art in 1998.  Mrs. Baker was an art teacher in the Boston Public Schools from 1996 until 2004 prior to her years teaching at FHS.  For the 2001-2 school year Mrs. Baker was selected as the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum teacher in residence. She was Nationally certified in art education from the NBPTS and has also taught printmaking and children's classes at the Nantucket Art Association and the Falmouth Artist Guild.  In 2014 Mrs. Baker was named Cape and Islands Art Teacher of the Year by the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod.

    Jane Baker shows her woodcuts at the Handworks Gallery in Woods Hole and the Nantucket Artist's Association.  She is on the board of the Printmakers of Cape Cod and is a member of the National Art Educators Association as well as the Cape and Islands Art Educator's Association.  Her work can be found at www.janefaybaker.com.
