On the left are links to the current school "report cards". They contain important information about teacher qualifications, student achievement on MCAS tests, and the progress we are making toward helping all students become proficient in English language arts and mathematics. The information is divided into 3 parts:
Part I: Student Achievement - A summary of how students scored in English language arts and mathematics on last year's MCAS testing.
Part II: School Accountability - An indication of whether or not the school is on target to meet the goal of halving our proficiency gaps in English language arts, mathematics, and science by 2017. Halving the proficiency gap is a fundamental goal of Massachusetts’ new accountability measures under the federal No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). Under the new process, Massachusetts classifies schools and districts on a 5-level scale – the highest performing are placed in Level 1 and lowest performing in Level 5.
Part III: Teacher Qualifications – Information about the qualifications of the teachers in our school and state.
We have also included a FAQ sheet to hopefully answer any questions you may have.
If parents/guardians wish to talk about these results, please contact your child(ren)’s school office and you will be put in touch with the appropriate staff member.
