Program Overview

  • The visual arts program offers a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for students to begin their journey learning about the visual arts.  Students participate in developmentally appropriate lessons that promote self-discovery and self-awareness.  Working with a variety of media, children have opportunities to explore drawing, painting, collage, clay, and sculpture.  The curriculum emphasizes age-appropriate materials exploration while also challenging students to develop their skills using art media.  Once beginner-level skills and routines are established, students explore topics ranging from art fundamentals to self-expression and integrated subject matter.
